When I was in high school, I didnt have all the responsibilities I have now. However, the opportunities Ive been given make the stress worth it. Its been a long adjustment to keep up with due dates, work schedules, and everything in between. Here are some ways I organize my life and stay on top of my work: 1. Plan out study times. I make sure that when I have a break between classes, I write down all of the work that needs to be completed that week in my planner. Having a schedule written out ensures that I am aware of all the homework I have and dont skip anything. 2. Take time for yourself. Theres nothing like having a little alone time. Its okay to cancel plans or say no if you need some time to reflect and relax. Its good to know your limits. When Im feeling stressed, I like to get my nails done or watch Netflix. 3. Make friends with your classmates. This has helped me a ton. The people I have classes with are great resources. We can study together, remind each other about due dates, and talk about anything we are confused about after class. These people understand what youre going through and likely feel the same way you do. I hope some of these tips help you when you start college courses!
